Empowering women to invest in the cleaning industry

Originally from South Africa, Esmari Goldswain-Currie is one of Ecocleen’s most ambitious franchisees. After working as a Conveyancing Assistant at Erasmus Motaung Inc for over seven years, Esmari and her partner Michael made the move to the United Kingdom in 2018. With family in the cleaning industry, they were looking for a fast-paced franchisor and commercial cleaning proved to be a strong market opportunity. With that in mind, Esmari and Michael purchased the Thames Valley region in Ecocleen’s growing franchise network.

Three years later and the Thames Valley region is growing from strength to strength. The team is supported by a national brand that allows them to focus on providing high-quality cleaning services to their customers across a range of sectors including business, medical practices, education facilities and the public sector.

Working closely with her partner Michael, who is responsible for sales and marketing, Esmari has taken the lead on operations, finance and people management for the franchise. Bring fresh and green thinking, she works closely with clients to provide high-quality solutions within their commercial cleaning budget and build long term relationships.

Most recently, Esmari and Michael have invested further in the Ecocleen’s Thames Valley region, to improve their presence in the area specifically in the education sector. Looking ahead, their goal is to grow the Ecocleen franchise into the region’s premier cleaning provider, whilst focussing on maintaining client and staff relationships.

“Working as a Regional Director for Ecocleen continues to be a rewarding experience. I thoroughly enjoy the ownership and responsibility that comes with growing the region and the supportive Ecocleen network is second to none,” commented Esmari Goldswain-Currie. “Looking ahead, I want to see more women getting involved in the cleaning industry, as there are huge opportunities to break down barriers and create your own paths.”
